Vegans and sweet tooths alike should be excited because a new vegan food truck is rolling into Seattle this May. Dough Joy is a new doughnut spot on wheels that makes its sweet goods sans dairy products. And if that isn’t exciting enough, this new venture comes from Christopher Ballard and Sean Willis of Outbound Herbivore.

If you ask us, another food truck makes a lot of sense. After all, dining will probably continue to have a takeout or grab-and-go focus for quite a while due to the pandemic. And let’s face it, you don’t really need a whole sit-down joint for a donut spot. Especially because Dough Joy is focused on quality over quantity and they have a pretty small kitchen being in a truck and all that.

So while the operation is small, we have a feeling that these donuts will pack a flavorful punch. Dough Joy will serve up donuts with creative names and flavors like the Petal To The Metal (rose-flavored) and the Faconator (maple icing with “bacon”) to name a few. And alongside your donuts, you’ll also be able to grab entirely plant-based drinks like lattes, mochas, and more.

If you’d like to learn more about Dough Joy you can click below. We’ll definitely have to give this spot a go because we can never say no to a donut. And now is the time to support local restaurants so be sure to check them out and satisfy that sweet tooth of yours.
