After opting to keep things outdoors last year, the Edgemont Haunt is coming back in full force this year! This beloved haunted house in North Vancouver has been delighting Halloween enthusiasts for years. And what’s more- it’s all for a good cause! Here’s the scoop.

Hosted by a husband and wife team in the neighbourhood, the amateur production is often anything but. Mixing classic touches with ever-evolving features, the Edgemont Haunt is right up there with some of the best professional haunted houses in the city.

This year, the theme they’ve chosen is “It’s Only Make Believe”. And while details are scarce, we’re hoping that we’ll see some seriously messed up things that go bump in the night. Heck, just one look at their version of the ‘Tooth Fairy’ is almost enough for us.

But, here’s the real kicker. Rather than charging people to make their money back, the creators of this haunted house simply ask for donations in support of the BC Professional Firefighters’ Burn Fund. So yeah, you get to get spooked, but you also get to support an organization that will put your money to good use. It’s a win-win in our books.

And on that note, we should let you know that their biggest year ever was in 2019, when they managed to raise $11,125 for the Burn Fund. Naturally, we want them to beat that target this year!
