Looks like you’re going to add to your future weekend getaway plans, because once the Malahat Skywalk is done, it will be a must-visit for sure. Let’s check out a little history of this crazy new development and what to expect once it’s complete!

The Malahat Skywalk is the result of a partnership between the Malahat Nation and the company A.Spire by Nature. If that name doesn’t ring a bell, just know that the people running it were also behind the Sea to Sky Gondola in Squamish. We think that’s a pretty good thing to have on the resume, hey?

Now, onto info about the Skywalk itself. Current plans are for it to be roughly 30 mins north of Victoria, along the Malahat Highway (makes sense). Following a 650 metre-long elevated walkway, the Skywalk will soar another 40 metres into the sky.

Once you take in the views, you’ll be able to make your way back down to the entrance. The Malahat Skywalk isn’t slated to be completed until spring 2021, but construction on the road to the site has already begun! Nice!
