Well hockey fans, the series between the Oilers and the Avalanche didn’t exactly go the way we wanted it to. But, we should remind you that another Edmonton team, the Oil Kings, are currently in the WHL Championships, and things are just as exciting!

As a quick playoffs recap, the Oil Kings have been dominating their matchups so far, sweeping both Lethbridge and Red Deer in the first two rounds. They faced a little more challenge against the Winnipeg Ice in the conference finals, but still took home a commanding 4-1 series victory.

Now in the WHL Championships outright, the Oil Kings are up against the Seattle Thunderbirds, and the series is tied at 1 game apiece. The series started in Edmonton last week, and the team is heading to Seattle to try and get some wins on the road. However, they’re back in Edmonton this Saturday, and will be playing at Rogers Place!

The frugal among us can rejoice as well, as these tickets are a fraction of what it costs to watch an Oilers playoff game. If you’re trying to keep the hockey excitement alive, then we highly suggest getting some tickets for Game 5, which takes place on Saturday, June 11th.

Seriously, tickets start at a mere $23…
