Perched at the top of Queen Elizabeth Park is Seasons in the Park. This spot provides a great view of our skyline, looking north towards the mountain. A great spot for a full-fledged dinner, try to time your visit with sundown so you can watch the city of glass light up.

It’s a classic Yaletown option, and for good reason. Not only are the waterfront views a treat, but you can rest assured that the Southern French cuisine will be delicious no matter what kind of meal you’re stopping by for.

Speaking of mixing food and views, Ancora has got that in spades. The Peruvian-Japanese fusion restaurant is one of our top picks for a treat-yourself meal. And while they’ve got a location in West Van, we prefer the one downtown.

The Salmon House
Maybe because this is our top destination dining pick. This spot sits just above the Trans-Canada Highway in West Van and gives an amazing view of downtown Vancouver and the Burrard Inlet. If you’re going to be making the drive, just make reservations in advance and request a window table.

Right at the bottom of the Lonsdale Quay lies Pier 7. We recommend taking the Seabus over in the morning, exploring the area a little bit (don’t forget to check out the Polygon Gallery), then chilling on their patio during happy hour.

Right beside Kits beach, The Boathouse is a great way to cap off a day of shopping and laying around on the beach. Try and find a timeframe when it’s not going to be too busy, like mid-afternoon, and enjoy people-watching with a great background.

Cactus Club English Bay
Another waterfront beach spot, Cactus Club on English probably has the best setting for a patio in the city. It’s super busy in the summer, so make sure you pick a time to eat where you’ll actually be able to sit on the patio, otherwise, prepare for a long wait.

Five 14Sails
Nestled in the Pan Pacific Hotel, Five Sails offers great views and a Pacific Northwest-inspired menu. This is definitely the most balling restaurant on this list, so only go if you’re ready to spend some cash.
