If there’s anything that we learned during COVID, it’s that we would be lost without our furry counterparts. Cats, pocket pets, and dogs (especially dogs) make the world a much better place and for that, we owe them all the scritches. Don’t have a pet but are in a position to provide a furever home? Consider checking out one of Alberta’s many shelters and sanctuaries – because you never know what – or who – you might find! Today, in the spirit of sharing, caring, laughing, and National Dog Day, here are 10 dogs with hilarious names that are actually up for adoption in Alberta right now! Who knows, one of them may be your new best friend!

Terrier Chiuahah mix breed, Waffles, is just about as cute as her name. She’s cuddly, crate trained and house trained, but doesn’t love unfamiliar loud noises. She’d best fit into a home that’s stable, has a fenced-in yard and has no problem taking her to get groomed every now and then.
