There's a cool new escape room experience at the Edmonton Public Library

The escape room experience at this downtown EPL location will have you thinking, sweating, and racing against the clock like never before. Locked Library is the newest offering from and for the library, with all proceeds from the event going towards library programs, collections, and services.
You can finish fast for the glory, or take your time and let yourself be immersed in a story inspired by classic detective novels.
If you consider yourself competitive in nature, this might be the activity for you. Or, you might just be looking for an excuse to get in the library at night — and, honestly? I can’t even blame you.
What to expect
With a team of two to four players, you’ll enter the Stanley A. Milner Library on July 25 with a mystery on your hands. A team is not required, however, and if you so choose, you can take on the challenge on your own.
This experience is designed for both seasoned puzzle-solvers and first-time participants. It blends suspense, teamwork, and exploration for a unique all-ages night out in downtown Edmonton. Whether you’re with friends, family, or a date, everyone is sure to have a great time.
From 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., you’ll race around one of the city’s most iconic locations and solve the mystery you were sent to uncover. As a fan of escape rooms, there’s no chance I’d pass up on an opportunity like this.
Good news, though! If you miss out on this experience, there’s going to be another one up the road. When tickets are sold out, there’s going to be the next edition of the escape room on Oct. 4. If you want to keep up with updates and know when the tickets for the next game are out, you might want to fill out the form on EPL’s website.
Are you ready to see what lies beneath the library’s surface? Grab your tickets as soon as possible and get ready for an escape room like you’ve never seen before.
Get your glasses on, because you’re going to want to take a close look at the clues you find.
