A contender for hip-hop’s most influential rapper is coming to Calgary for one day only, as A$AP Rocky is set to bring his live show to the Scotiabank Saddledome. The show, scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2026, may be the biggest act in Calgary Stampede history.

The Stampede shared the news via a press release on Jan. 20, and it’s seriously sending us into the next orbit.

Known for his genre-defying sound, bold fashion influence, and dynamic stage presence, A$AP Rocky is undoubtedly one of the most impactful artists in music today. Since emerging in 2011, he has amassed more than 25.7 billion global streams and 8.8 billion YouTube views, solidifying his place as a cultural powerhouse.

He’s also a devoted husband and has spoken extensively about his loving relationship with fellow superstar Rihanna, as well as life as a father, as they raise their three children together.

Calgary to welcome a global icon

With recent groundbreaking on a new Culture + Entertainment District in Calgary, the momentum in our city has been undeniable. Now, Calgary is set to play host to one of rap music’s biggest global superstars in 2026.

“A$AP Rocky is a true global icon whose influence extends far beyond music,” said Meghan Kivisto, vice president of sales, marketing, and programming at the Calgary Stampede. “We’re proud to partner with Live Nation to bring an artist of this calibre to The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth, underscoring our commitment to delivering an unforgettable entertainment experience for our guests.”

The rapper’s discography includes billboard-charting albums LONG.LIVE.A$AP and AT.LONG.LAST.A$AP, and his third studio album TESTING surpassed one billion global streams.

More than a musician

In addition to his musical achievements, Rocky has established himself as a leading creative force across fashion, film and design. He was a co-chair of the Met Gala and is the current creative director for Ray-Ban and Puma. He’s also spoken extensively about his alignment with Rihanna as both a father and creative collaborator.

Booking A$AP Rocky at this year’s Stampede is a game-changer, and it means there’s a distinct possibility that these two mega stars will set foot together on Calgary soil for the first time. We’re sending that intention into the universe — A$AP, we hope you hear us!

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, Jan. 27, at 10 a.m. MT. All ticket purchases include admission to the Calgary Stampede on the day of the concert, and fans can experience a full day of Stampede thrills before and after the show. Calgary Stampede Insiders will have the opportunity to pre-purchase tickets beginning on Monday, Jan. 26 at 10 a.m. MT.
