\Holiday magic will soon take over Toronto’s Casa Loma just in time for the festive season. The iconic castle will transform into a winter wonderland this December with its annual Christmas at the Castle and Holiday Lights Tour experiences.

The beloved event returns next month, placing you in a Christmas storybook as you wander through the magical trail, past dazzling light displays in the gardens and throughout the castle grounds and tunnels.

The two experiences, Christmas at the Castle and Holiday Lights, kick off Dec. 5 and 6, 2025, respectively.

From festive activities to gorgeous light displays outdoors, here’s what to expect.

Christmas at the Castle

This magical experience takes visitors indoors, where they can embrace the beauty of the stunning holiday decor and the majestic 20-foot tree in the Great Hall.

You’ll also get a chance to see eight signature trees created by Canadian designers. “Destination ‘design’ trees are scattered throughout the castle, in the Great Hall, designed by Living Luxe Magazine and Amber Walker,” shares Casa Loma.

Stick around for the live performances by Canada’s Got Talent 2025 semi-finalists Jambo Brothers, Knight Before Christmas shows, holiday vocals by Sara Papini and others, a Great Hall aerialist, mimes, mascots, and an interactive magician.

Kids will also have the chance to meet Santa and his elves! They can also make letters to send to the North Pole.

Tickets are priced at $45 per person, but children three and under are free when accompanied by a ticket-holding adult.

It starts Dec. 5, 2025, to Jan. 3, 2026 and will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. If you want to stick around to experience the magic at night, you can upgrade your ticket to include Holiday Lights for an extra $25 from Dec. 6 to Dec. 19, or Dec. 20, 2025, to Jan. 3, 2026, for $30.

It’s truly a wonderful family experience.

Holiday Lights

When the sun sets, the Christmas magic lights up at Casa Loma.

Holiday Lights is a self-guided walk that will delight guests as they encounter the almost endless holiday decorations, lights, and live performances. There will be a magic show, a fire performer, Olaf and Winter Princesses, a trio of Christmas carolers, and, of course, Santa and his entourage.

It’s important to note that the entrance is on the southwest corner of the property at Davenport Rd. and Walmer Rd.

Though mostly held outdoors and in the tunnels, it’s about 2km long. Unfortunately, it does not include access to tour inside Casa Loma – you’ll need a Christmas at the Castle ticket for that.

Holiday Lights begins Dec. 6, 2025 and runs until Jan. 3, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., Fridays to Sundays.

Tickets start at $45 online, $50 onsite, from Dec. 6 to Dec. 19, 2025, and go up an additional $5 starting Dec. 18 to Jan. 3, 2025.

Are you ready to experience the Christmas spirit at Casa Loma? We sure are!
