Here is when Calgarians can make a splash in an outdoor pool this year

Summer is around the corner, and temperatures are on the rise! We’re already looking for somewhere to cool off, but where can we beat the heat? Calgary-owned outdoor pools are gearing up for the 2025 season, and it won’t be long until we can make a splash.
When will pools open in Calgary?
Can’t wait to dive in?
As long as the weather cooperates, pools all over the city are slated to open on Father’s Day weekend, June 13 to 15.
These pools will remain open all summer long, as long as it’s safe to do so, and then will close again in August.
Here are all of the facilities where you can make a cannonball next month:
- Bowview Outdoor Pool – 1910 6th Ave. NW
- Forest Lawn Outdoor Pool – 1706 39th St. SE
- Highwood Outdoor Pool – 25 Holmwood Ave. NW
- Millican-Ogden Outdoor Pool – 69th Ave. and 20A St. SE
- Mount Pleasant Outdoor Pool – 2310 6th St. NW
- Silver Springs Outdoor Pool – Silverridge Cl. and Silverridge Dr. NW
- South Calgary Outdoor Pool – 3130 16th St. SW
- Stanley Park Outdoor Pool – 4011 1A St. SW
If, of course, you’d like a refresher course or have kids who are eager to learn, you can register for classes now.
In the meantime, stay hydrated, have fun, and stay tuned!
The opening of the city’s spray park and wading pools won’t be far behind.
