Who’s ready for a winter adventure for the books? The iconic Garibaldi Provincial Park in British Columbia is a truly breathtaking year-round destination, surrounded by some of the most famous mountain vistas in the country.

Situated in the heart of the Coast Mountains, Garibaldi is known far and wide for its plentiful hiking trails (totalling 90 kilometres!), which transform with snow during the winter months.

Diamond Head is the main area for winter recreation, offering visitors an array of backcountry skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing opportunities.

According to Tourism Squamish, its vast terrain is a “dream destination” for ski mountaineers and snowshoers alike, with so many winter landscapes to take in.

Visitors can also spend the night at one of the backcountry campsites or inside the Elfin Lakes Hut.

Before your visit, make sure to prepare for snowy conditions on the roads and in the park itself, bringing along the proper equipment to navigate hard-to-find snow-covered trails.
