You asked, and they answered! Edmonton is getting a new No Frills grocery store at Mill Woods Town Centre, and it’s about to become a local go-to.

Maclab Development Group, the owner of Mill Woods Town Centre, reported that No Frills would take the place formerly occupied by a Co-op Grocery Store that closed in 2023.

The announcement was posted on the Mill Woods Town Centre Instagram account, and it’s coming off the heels of a lot of requests.

“This community has been very clear with us about the need for a grocery store,” says Bill Blais, President and CEO of Maclab Development Group. “In our engagement with residents, it was by far the most requested retail option. We are excited to announce that we have made that need a reality.”

The addition of this No Frills store in Edmonton will serve the local community along with the many transit commuters that pass through on account of the nearby Edmonton Valley Line LRT. It’s also the start of a bigger vision.

“When we began developing a vision to eventually transform the whole site, we knew that we needed to make the mall vibrant and ensuring we had the right mix of retailers, restaurants, and service providers to service our growing community for many years to come. This is another positive step in that direction,” says Bill Blais.

While there is no opening date for the grocery store at this time, we promise to keep you updated!
