You don’t need to get on a plane to experience the charm of Europe. In fact, there’s a place you can get that right here in Ontario. Kleinburg, Ontario is just under an hour north of Toronto, an area decorated with romantic restaurants, coffee shops and small eclectic boutiques.

Getting there

Kleinburg is about a one hour drive from downtown Toronto within the city of Vaughan.

While the village is close to Toronto you will immediately be hit with the small-town charm the area is known for.

One of the other popular spots in Kleinburg is the McMichael Canadian Art Collection, an art museum on 100 acres of forested land by the Humber River!

The spot is “uniquely devoted to collecting and exhibiting the art of Canada” and is a perfect beautiful place to stroll through in the autumn.

The downtown main street is lined with local shops to explore with everything from clothing, jewelry and coffee spots.

This time of year, fall foliage is almost in full swing and if you want to enjoy the changing colours while visiting then Bindertwine Park could be your best bet.

The park is on the edge of Kleinberg and is the northern trailhead for an eight-kilometre stretch of the William Granger Greenway.

The Greenway runs from Kleinberg to Boyd Conservation Area flowing along the East Humber River.
