There is a new space opening at 330 Bay Street. The restored and transformed corner of Bay and Adelaide Streets is now home to the first estiatorio Milos restaurant in Toronto, and it’s bringing its renowned Greek cuisine to the city.

The beginnings of estiatorio Milos

Before it was a global name, Milos opened its first location in Montreal in 1979. The family-owned restaurant was founded by Greek-born-and-raised restaurateur Costas Spiliadis.

Since its founding, Milos has become widely known for sourcing local ingredients from fishermen and farmers throughout Greece and the Mediterranean, as well as each of the local markets in which they are established. Those ingredients are always on display at each of the locations, and is expected to be the same in Toronto.

Other locations around the world

Besides its restaurant in Montreal, you can dine at estiatorio Milos locations in New York, Miami, London, Athens, Dubai, Los Cabos, Miami, Singapore and, soon, Toronto!

The restaurant says that it is also opening in Los Angeles and Palm Beach in the next year.

Milos has a hotel in Athens, Greece, and offers “Milos at Sea,” with a fleet of yachts in the Greek islands, too.

What to expect at the Toronto location?

Milos in Toronto’s main dining room is a spacious light-filled atrium, with historical facades throughout the room that “once graced the 1925 building’s exterior.” There are also artifacts indigenous to Greece’s ancient history to help create the restaurant’s atmosphere.

When does Milos officially open?

Milos’ official grand opening takes place on September 26th, 2024, and you can make reservations already.

Founder Costas Spiliadis says it is a dream come true.

“Bringing Milos to Toronto is a dream come true,” said Spiliadis.

“Opening a new location in Canada, where our journey began is incredibly meaningful to us. For years, people have asked us to come to Toronto, and we finally found the right location, at the right time. We knew instinctively that Milos would fit perfectly in this very special building which has a wonderful heritage, much like the Greek cuisine and culture that we have such a passion for.”

Get ready for eye-catching dishes, and a dining experience that transports you to Greece.
