Here are the free admission days at this year's Washington State Fair
It’s almost that time of year again! The 2024 Washington State Fair returns this weekend, and here’s how to save some money on admission!
This year, the fair kicks off on August 30th and will run until September 22nd.
You can expect to see a floral exhibit, the Fair farm, and there will be free entertainment on several stages.
Additionally, there will be Fireworks Spectacular on Saturday nights at approximately 9 p.m.
A family-friendly beer garden with food and daily entertainment, including nightly live bands, will also be available at this year’s fair.
All these exhibits are included in fair admission, so how much is it?

Right now, weekday tickets onlineare $12 and $15, but weekend passes are $14 for children and $18 for general admission.
As for the days of the fair, ticket prices at the gate, will be $13 for kids and $16 for general admission during the week, and $15 for kids and $20 for general adult admission on weekends.
But if you’re looking to save, there are a few free admission dates this year.
Free admission
Friday, August 30th: You can get free admission for all ages from 10:30am – 12:30pm, with a suggested non-perishable food donation for KOMO’s Opening Day Food Drive.
Friday, August 30th to Monday, September 2nd: You can get free admission for kids, ages 18 and under, courtesy of BECU.
Every Monday: For Military Appreciation Days, there is free admission for all active, reserve, and retired military and National Guard and their dependents, plus disabled veterans, when each shows valid military ID at any Fair gate.
Friday, September 6th: For the School Supply Drive, you can receive free gate admission for all ages 10:30am – 12:30pm with a suggested new school supply donation.
