For anyone not in the know, Suncadia Resort is this beautiful mountain resort (duh) less than an hour and a half drive from Seattle. Frankly, with all those lush and beautiful trees, you will want to bring home the perfect one for yourself. And The Nelson Farm Tree Lot (the resort houses the farm) has your back. You can pick your tree, mistle-toe and wreath but there’s more. Make a day of your visit here with Santa’s workshop, winter archery, axe throwing (yeah you read that right) and maybe spotting a few North Pole residents?!
Fun with Santa
When is a Winterfest ever complete without Santa making an appearance in some form or another? NEVER! And so, the family, especially the little ones, will love every bit of this fest. You can get personalized letters and gifts delivered from Santa, visit Santa’s workshop to grab Gingerbread House Kits, Bear Kits and much more or join the evening story session by the fire. FYI, all of these activities happen at The Nelson Farm so be sure to visit it.
Outdoor adventures
For all your winter outdoor adventures, Suncadia Resort is the place to be. Needless to say they have skiing, snowshoeing and sledding tours for all levels of adventure junkies but for those like us who don’t want to spend all the energy sporting, you can opt for a less intense choice, like winter fly fishing for example.

We can’t be the only ones who think of spas when talking of vacations. For many like us, there is the Glade Spring Spa that offers both, a variety of services to de-stress and relax and a serene environment. and if you happen to have outdone yourself with the outdoor activities mentioned above, the Spa will soothe your muscles and prep you for your next adventure!
