6 vegan-friendly restaurants you need to check out this summer in Edmonton

Alright Edmonton, with restaurant dining back open, it’s time to get serious about where we’re grabbin’ our next bite. ‘Cause after the hiatus we had, settling for just anything isn’t going to cut it. 

So we’ve teamed up with Flora, a plant-based alternative to butter, to bring you a list of six vegan-friendly restaurants in Edmonton to add to your summer dining bucket list. ‘Cause let’s face it, nothing says summer dining like some fresh, delicious dishes.

THE MOTH CAFE

The Moth Cafe has become an absolute staple spot for healthy food in Edmonton. With an entirely plant-based menu and a stunning interior, this restaurant has ample options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A deliciously fresh bowl on a hot sunny day? Sign us up!

PADMANADI

Padmanadi was voted best vegan restaurant in Edmonton, and for good reason. With a long menu of incredible plant-based Asian dishes for brunch, lunch and dinner, a meal from here is sure to hit the spot!

CAFE MOSAICS

Classifying themselves as a vegan and vegetarian waterhole, Cafe Mosaics serves up unreal plant-based dishes, with great vibes and great drinks to go along with it. If that weren’t enough? They serve all-day breakfast (yum!), and are in the process of eliminating single-use plastics!

LA POUTINE

Alright, while La Poutine is not a fully vegan spot, their extensive menu has tons of vegan and vegetarian options, and even has the option to make most dishes gluten-free! And with how dang delicious their poutine is, it’s gotta make the list.

KB & CO.

If you’re lookin’ for a modern vegan eatery to check out, Kb & Co. is a staple. With a wide selection of plant-based bowls, smoothies, sandwiches, soups and more, this is a spot you could easily hit up on the daily and never get sick of.

SWEET PEA CAFE & PLAYHOUSE

When it comes to family-friendly dining spots in Edmonton, there is perhaps none better than Sweet Pea Cafe & Playhouse. With a delicious cafe style plant-based menu featuring baked goods, salads, sandwiches, and more, and a playhouse for the little ones to enjoy while you’re there, this is definitely a must-hit spot for families in YEG.
