Ava DuVernay is the mastermind director behind this next pick. The four-part series dives into the true story of five Harlem teenagers who were falsely accused of a brutal attack in Central Park. MANIAC

If you’re into mind-bending dystopian vibes, this is the series for you. Jonah Hill and Emma Stone deliver show-stopping performances as two test subjects in a controversial drug trial. The story dives into their characters’ troubled pasts and explores wild psychological ideas about memory and the mind.

The Outsider

Based on the 2018 novel of the same name by none other than Stephen King, this eerie suspense-thriller came and went pretty quietly considering the strength of its cast. Jason Batemen, Ben Mendelsohn, and Bill Camp lead this gritty series surrounding what initially seems to be an open-and-shut case that transforms into a complex web of lies and confusion with a pretty neat twist.
