Four-day South Asian arts festival in Metro Vancouver to include a free block party

Who’s ready to jump into the season of outdoor markets, music festivals, and pop-up parties? Celebrating South Asian art, culture, music, and fashion, the 5X Festival is a multi-venue festival spanning multiple days in Metro Vancouver.

Best of all, there’s a block party included that is completely free to attend!

5X Block Party

The block party is the festival’s flagship music event, featuring a full lineup of South Asian artists to be released. So stay tuned!

Those interested can grab free festival tickets online, which give visitors access to concerts, food vendors, art installations, and local brands.

5X Art Party

Hosted by Joty Kay and Kirpan Dhillon, this year’s 5X Fest will also feature the return of the 5X Art Party, an event bringing emerging artists and innovative music together that sells out every year.

This year’s Art Party will be curated by Ritesh Matlani, a Surrey-based Queer floral designer and filmmaker. Themes of his works include queer mythology, South Asian diaspora and immigration, and suppressed agony.

Note that his art installations will be up at The Beaumont Studios from June 12th to 28th – so if you can’t make it out to the Art Party, you’ll still have a chance to check it out!
