We probably say this every month, but we can’t believe how quickly this past one flew by. How is it the end of October already?! Luckily, though we will miss the spookier events, there are a ton of exciting things to do this next month, most of which are fairly festive! VIBE ALONG TO THE CANADIAN ONLINE JAZZ FESTIVAL 

Toe tap, snap and sway in the comfort of your own home this November, with the 2021 Canadian Online Jazz Music Festival! What’s better than supporting incredible talent from all over the country, while drinking wine straight from the bottle in your PJs? Almost nothing – that’s what! Check it out!

FLY HIGH WITH BIRDLY 

You’re not ready for this one, YYC! Last week, Telus Spark Science Centre unveiled its first full-body virtual reality experience, and wow, is it something. For those looking for something different – we’d recommend Birdly – a dinosaur flight simulator that will take the rider to new heights during a time when the T-Rex was at the top of the food chain. ATTEND THE REMEMBRANCE DAY CEREMONY AT THE FIELD OF CROSSES 

Visit the Night of Lights on the 10th or visit the field of crosses during the day to pay your respects. Though as of right now, we can’t say if this annually held Remembrance ceremony will look the same as it has years prior, we can almost guarantee that it will still be as moving as ever.

OR THE VIRTUAL SERVICE AT MILITARY MUSEUM

CHECK OUT SPARK AFTER DARK 

They say you’re supposed to learn one new thing every day, but we think that on the very first Thursday of every month, you should do it with a drink in your hand. The best place to do that? Telus Spark! This November, check out their many exhibits, then, hang by the bar and vibe to some music, or get interactive with this month’s “adult” display at Spark After dark!

IMMERSIVE YOURSELF IN THE ARTWORK OF VAN GOGH

Thought you missed BMO’s Beyond Van Gogh exhibit? It’s your lucky day! By popular demand, they’ve once again, extended the exhibit, giving you one more chance to step into the colourful world of an artistic genius. Guided by his own dreams, thoughts, and words,  experience the world and art of Van Gogh as if it were the first time by wandering through 300 masterpieces including “The Starry Night” and “Sunflowers,” each of which will be brought to life, completely transcending time, space and even reality.
