Leave it to Toronto to make the impossible happen by having a bumping patio season in the dead of winter. From sprawling rooftop patios to colourful covered terraces to twinkling Parisian alleyways, there’s no shortage of spots to enjoy a delicious al fresco meal in this city no matter how cold it gets.

No -20 C wind chill or semi-lockdown can stop Torontonians from having a good time in the great outdoors, and these spots are doing the most to make their patios as dreamy as possible.

Here are 12 Toronto patios open right now that are taking outdoor dining to the next level.

Prohibition Social House

Prohibition’s heated outdoor patio is “so warm you won’t need a coat,” according to the restaurant’s latest Instagram post. The patio is located at the back of the venue and it’s open all day until 11 p.m. on a walk-in basis only, but will soon be taking reservations as well.
