It’s a new weekend folks! Somehow June is almost over and things are kind of feeling normal again. With that in mind, it’s time to get out there and eat some food, see some sights, and have some fun. Here are 10 socially distant things to do in Seattle this weekend.
You can see a brand new show by Brooklyn-based multimedia artist Dana Robinson at Specialist Gallery. Robinson’s work touches on themes like youth, Black feminine identity, ownership, and nostalgia. The show is definitely worth checking out but be sure to make an appointment ahead of time.

This show revolves around the idea of open eyes, mouths, doors, and portals bridging the distance between time and space. Moriyasu’s work includes ceramic sculptures and oil on porcelain canvas. It’s her first solo show with J. Rinehart Gallery so we absolutely recommend checking it out.

The end-of-year exhibition at the Henry is one of the best ways to see what recently graduated and local artists are creating. You’ll get to see fresh work and help support our local artists. Plus this year it’s even better because work will be included from 2020’s graduates as well.

Canlis’ most recent reinvention is happening until the end of the month and will probably be the last one for a while as the restaurant looks towards reopening. Camp Canlis is a great excuse to treat yourself to some amazing food and also check out what the restaurant is doing with new head chef Aisha Ibrahim.

Seattle is coming back to life and that means the city has tons of new restaurants that you should check out. These spots serve up delicious food and inventive drinks. Seattle Public Libraries Adult Summer Bingo is back and better than ever! This year’s summer reading board has book slots like small press, QTBIPOC, Black joy, and more. We highly recommend participating as it’s a great way to check out new books. Plus if you finish your board you can mail it into the library for a chance to win prizes.
