The City of White Rock has been hosting a scavenger hunt this month, and things wrap up this weekend! The online ‘Search the Rock’ scavenger hunt features everything from selfies to GPS-based locations to multiple-choice questions. The pay-off? Over $4,500 in prizes, including dinners and hotel stays at this idyllic seaside city.

For those looking for a little more energy this weekend, the Shipyards Festival is a must. This massive music and food fest has tons of live music lined up, and covers all age groups. As for us? Well, catch us in the beer garden, enjoying some food and listening to the tunes.

Speaking of beer gardens, a major Oktoberfest-inspired one has popped up in the city! Parallel 49 has transformed their massive outdoor patio into a Bavarian biergarten, complete with a new food menu, live music, and a whole boatload of laughs to be had.

Going to be downtown this weekend? A very easy after-dinner option has popped up. The folks at Go2 Productions have created a 3D visual experience celebrating the life and work of none other than Arthur Erickson, who is arguably the most important architect this city has ever seen.

Not only do the BC Lions have a game this week, but they’re doing something in the name of National Truth and Reconciliation Day. They will be giving away some 10,000 orange t-shirts, featuring a design from Kwakwaka’wakw/Tlingit artist Corrine Hunt. It’s a double whammy of reasons to go!
