Here are the 10 best things to do in Vancouver this weekend.

Eastside Flea Holiday Market

The Eastside Flea is back, baby! This beloved collection of vintage curators and local artisans has made a return just in time for the holidays. This is a must-visit option for bargain hunters, offering all sorts of great gift options (and maybe even a little something for yourself).

Yukon Blonde

This Kelowna-born band seems to be getting better and better each year, with no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Don’t believe us? Well then, we advise that you grab some tickets for this Saturday’s show and see for yourself.

When: Saturday, December 11th
Where: 3123 W Broadway
Cost: $25+

Mixed Nuts

Put on by the Arts Umbrella Dance Company, Mixed Nuts offers a modern twist on the classic ballet experience. Rather than use one style, this show will incorporate a variety of them, ranging from ballroom to hip-hop and of course, the pas de deux ballet style that makes the original show so memorable.

When: Starts Friday, December 10th
Where: 600 Hamilton Street
Cost: $50

Bloedel Conservatory

Wanting to take a break from all the holiday/winter options? Your best bet is the Bloedel Conservatory, which houses hundreds of tropical plants and birds. That’s right, this is your own local oasis, and it’s sure to help you overcome those rainy day blues.

When: Open throughout the weekend
Where: 4600 Cambie Street
Cost: $7.05

Holiday Splash

Speaking of indoor options, the Vancouver Aquarium has transformed for the holiday season! Honestly, we’re recommending this for one reason alone- the daily dives featuring Santa in full scuba gear. If that doesn’t scream memorable holiday sight, we don’t know what does.

When: Open throughout the weekend
Where: 845 Avison Way
Cost: $42 for GA

Vancouver Canucks

The Canucks’ home streak continues! And now that they’ve mixed things up in the coaching department, it’s your chance to watch them (hopefully) transform for the better! They’ve started hot, with two consecutive wins so far this week.

When: Games Friday, December 10th and Sunday, December 12th
Where: 800 Griffiths Way
Cost: Ticket prices vary

Grouse Mountain

Of course, one of the options that actually benefits from snowfall is a trip to the ski hill! This week we’re picking Grouse, which has got the Peak of Christmas going for it, but in general, is a great spot to get a few laps in on the weekend/after work one day.

When: Open throughout the weekend
Where: 6400 Nancy Greene Way, North Vancouver
Cost: Varies

Miracle on Main Street

More about Christmas beers than Christmas activities? At least one brewery has your back. For the first bit of the month, Main St. Brewing is offering free beer to those who come drop off presents for them to donate over the holidays. That’s a win-win in our books!

When: On until Sunday, December 12th
Where: 261 E 7th Avenue
Cost: Min. $10 value donation

VanDusen Festival of Lights

Well well well, if it isn’t our most consistent pick for things to do this month. What can we say? If we had to pick one holiday experience to check out in Vancouver, this would be it. The price is right, the setting is nice, and the lights are stunning!

When: Open throughout the week
Where: 5251 Oak Street
Tickets: $17.50

That’s our roundup for this weekend, Vancouver!
