Watch a Whitecaps Game

The Whitecaps are back at BC Place this weekend! They’ll be facing off against Austin FC on Saturday, following a solid 3 wins and 1 loss over their past four games. Plus, don’t tell anybody, but Austin should be an easy win for the Whitecaps. We’re keeping our fingers crossed, at least!

Enjoy a Car Free Chill Day

Car Free Day has become Car-Free Month this year. But, in an ironic twist of fate, a Car-Free ‘Chill’ Day will go down this weekend along Quebec Street. The real draw? Well, aside from it being free to access, they’ve got a drag show planned as well.

Vancouver TAIWANfest

After taking a break last year, TAIWANfest is back this year! And, they’ve brought back the ongoing ‘Dialogue with Asia’ series, picking South Korea as the partner country. Head downtown and check out a wide range of options, including artist talks, culinary experiences, and live performances.

Applebarn at Taves Family Farms

Ready to dive into fall? Lucky for you, Taves Family Farms has opened their Applebarn experience! This massive attraction has apple picking, a petting zoo, multiple corn mazes and a whole lot more to enjoy during your visit. The pre-emptive approach to fall might be the best, you never know.

Vancouver Aquarium

That’s right folks- one of the city’s most beloved attractions is back open! What’s more, they’ve added a new exhibit, which focuses on the Aquarium’s Marine Mammal Rescue Program. Who doesn’t want to see an otter recovering from ill health? That’s like what dreams are made of.

Swing by your local Farmers Market

Late summer means harvest season for tons of farms and producers around the Lower Mainland and beyond. Make the most of it with a trip to a farmers market in the morning, then impress your roommate/significant other/whoever else with a delicious home cooked meal!

Check out Shipyards Live

You’re running out of time to check out this massive series in North Vancouver. You’ll be able to enjoy local vendors, food trucks, live music and a beer garden every weekend. Plus, it’s hard to beat a sunset as you look out to Vancouver’s skyline.

When: Friday, September 3rd and Saturday, September 4th
Where: Lonsdale Quay Area

Enjoy a contemporary art exhibit

If you’re heading to North Van anyway, then go early so you can enjoy the Interior Infinite exhibition at the Polygon Gallery. This roundup of contemporary artists is all about self-representation, with a focus on photography. Basically, crazy photos that are sure to spark conversation!

Grey Goose Smooth Putt

A couple of options are only available til Monday! First up is the Grey Goose Mini Putt, which lets you enjoy a ‘French’ mini-putt experience inspired by the brand’s heritage. And of course, you’ll get a cocktail for taking the time to visit it. It’s a win-win!

Have fun at the PNE Fair

That’s right folks, one of Vancouver’s most iconic summer events wraps up this weekend. If you haven’t checked it out already, you’ve got midway classics to enjoy, carnival food to try, and of course, events like the SuperDogs to watch in awe.
