King County Fair

Did you know that we have the oldest fair west of the Mississippi? Well now you do and it’s happening this weekend so you might just want to check it out. You can enjoy rides, fair food, and of course tons of cute animals for one weekend only!

Check out a retro drive-in theatre

Want to watch a movie? You’re in luck because Washington has tons of amazing drive-in theatres that you can visit across the state. Stay close to the city or plan a weekend trip and movie showing. It’s a great way to get out of your Netflix habits and support some super cool Washington businesses.

Bloom: A Celebratory Dinner of Transformation

Dining events are coming back! We have to say they’re one of the things we miss most. Cafe Nordo’s Chef Erin Brindley is cooking up a few special events this month that focus on “new growth and transformation in the air after an impossibly difficult year”. So if you’re looking for an amazing dining experience this is probably it.

Enjoy some u-pick

Whether you want berries, flowers or apples, there are tons of u-pick options around the state. As you know apples aren’t quite in season but you can definitely pick from a whole host of berry spots. Get out there, get your berries, freeze them for winter or make a pie!

Seattle Festival of Dance + Improvisation

Love dance? Then you can’t miss the Seattle Festival of Dance + Improvisation, it’s a month of in-person and online movement intensives and classes with both local and national faculty. You can also check out events, pop-up performances, and more!

Check out a new nightclub

Feels crazy that venues are open again and on that note, Seattle actually has a brand new nightclub. Supernova Seattle has an amazingly funky interior and is all about being a safe space for women, BIPOC, and the LGBTQIA+ community. Sounds fun right? Well, it is and you don’t want to miss out.

Phinney Food Truck Fridays

Food trucks are always a go in our books. If you feel the same then you definitely don’t want to miss out on Phinney Food Truck Fridays. You can enjoy eats from places like Sam Choy’s Poke to the Max, Panda Dim Sum, Bumbu Truck, Bean Fish Taiyaki, Delfino’s Pizza, Kiss My Grits, Falafel Salam, Seoul Bowl, and Off the Rez. It’s sure to be delicious.

Seattle Public Libraries Adult Summer Bingo is back and better than ever! This year’s summer reading board has book slots like small press, QTBIPOC, Black joy, and more. We highly recommend participating as it’s a great way to check out new books. Plus if you finish your board you can mail it into the library for a chance to win prizes.
