WALKTHROUGH LEGACY’S LIGHT DISPLAY 

This week, gas up and hit one of Calgary’s largest most cheerful displays – The Legacy community light walk. Between November 15th and January 16th, this FREE event with light the night with over a million tiny bulbs strung up on everything from the clock tower to the houses. Don’t miss it!

CHECK OUT SPARK AFTER DARK 

They say you’re supposed to learn one new thing every day, but we think that on the very first Thursday of every month, you should do it with a drink in your hand. The best place to do that? Telus Spark! This week, check out their many exhibits, then, hang by the bar and vibe to some music, or get interactive with this month’s “adult” display at Spark After dark!

GO BEYOND VAN GOGH

Extended by popular demand, the folks behind the Beyond Van Gogh exhibit have once again extended the exhibit, giving you another chance to step into the colourful world of an artistic genius. Guided by his own dreams, thoughts, and words,  experience the world and art of Van Gogh as if it were the first time by wandering through 300 masterpieces including “The Starry Night” and “Sunflowers,” each of which will be brought to life, completely transcending time, space and even reality.

HIT CALGARY CHRISTMAS FARMERS’ MARKET

Whether you need something to place under the tree or on top of the table, the Calgary Farmer’s Market will have you completely covered. Browse dozens of vendors selling everything from yuletide gifts and food to jewelry decor and a ton more; hit their food hall and grab some grub, sit by the fire, or meet and greet with the big man or his hairy green foe, the Grinch!

STROLL THE INGLEWOOD HOLIDAY NIGHT MARKET

Not sure what to do this Friday? This week, Calgarians are encouraged to hit the indoor edition of the Inglewood Night Market! Why not check it out and cross a few things off that growing Christmas gift list early?

Heck, while you’re there, maybe go for a lap or two around their skating rink, or pop a squat with the big man himself.

GRAB A FESTIVE DRINK AT THE MIRACLE ON 1ST STREET POPUP

FLY HIGH AT TELUS SPARK 

Want to see things from a different point of view? Telus Spark Science Centre unveiled its first full-body virtual reality experience, and wow, is it something. For those looking for something different – we’d recommend Birdly – a dinosaur flight simulator that will take the rider to new heights during a time when the T-Rex was at the top of the food chain. You won’t regret it! Unless you don’t like heights.

VISIT THE BANFF CHRISTMAS MARKET

There’s really no place in Alberta more magical than Banff – so it only makes sense that they have their very own Christmas Market. This holiday season, check out the Warner stables for live music, fantastic food and charming gifts, pieces of artwork, and more created and offered by the locals. It’s going to be enchanting!
