There’s no craving like a chicken and waffle craving! Good thing this spot has the classic comfort food option down pat. You can stop by any of their Toronto locations for takeout of this delicious dish. Plus, the menu is stacked with loads of toppings options, including everything from their signature Dirty Sauce to buttered maple, spicy ranch, and more. Mmm, are you drooling already? You can really pig out at Pig Out BBQ. Sorry, y’all the pun was right there. Anyway, the comfort food available at this joint will have you so satisfied you’ll be spitting puns too. As the name suggests, they specialize in BBQ eats. When you stop by, you’ll be met with a wide selection of all the classics like ribs, wings, pulled pork, and a comfort food favourite Mac N Cheese. Yum!

Another great spot for hearty BBQ eats has got to be The Carbon Bar. This delicious joint is known for its Texas-style offerings that’ll make you drool. They’ve got everything from steaks to seafood. Pretty much everything on this menu is divine, but we’ve got to recommend digging into their Soy Pork Nachos, Mac ‘n Cheez, and Fries Supremacy. Finish things off with an order of their Bourbon Apple Pie and you’ve got quite the feast on your hands. Or their Chocolate Cheesecake Parfait. Ugh, this spot has so many delicious choices it’s just so hard to choose!

IKKOUSHA RAMEN

Is there anything more comforting than a warm bowl of ramen? Seriously, we’d love to know. This spot serves up some of the best when it comes to this delicious dish. You can hit either one of their locations for a slightly different mix of menu items. At Ikkousha Tonkotsu, you’ll be met with a selection of pork-based picks. Beach Hill Smokehouse has been on top of the comfort food game since they first opened their doors in Toronto at their flagship location on Main Street. When you order from here, you can expect a delicious “falling off the bone” vibe from all their BBQ creations. This spot knows exactly how it’s done.

PAI NORTHERN THAI KITCHEN

Sometimes Thai food just tastes like sunshine. When you order from Pai Northern Thai Kitchen, you’ll get just that. This place is known far and wide as one of the best Thai restaurants in the city, and when you stop by you’ll see why. Everything on their menu, from their spring rolls to their Thai wings to their curries and soups, will make you feel all kinds of warm and fuzzy instead. This place is sure to brighten up any dark day. We know we’ll be placing an order or two from here soon!

Of course, there’s nothing quite as comforting as a face full of carbs! When it comes to pasta, Sugo Toronto knows what’s up. The Bloor West restaurant is one of the most popular in the city and for good reason. They offer unbelievable pasta dishes that just hit the spot. Pretty much anything on this menu is going to be a hit, but if you’d like our recommendation you can’t go wrong with an order of rigatoni. Get one of their massive meatballs to enjoy on the side and you’ve got quite the meal. If you’re more of a pizza person than a pasta person, be sure to check out their sister store Pizza Conzo (located just up the street at 1279 Bloor St W).
