You can now get free 10-minute grocery delivery until 2 AM in Toronto

We may be paying the most expensive rent in the country, but living in Toronto definitely has its perks. Now, residents of the downtown core can get their groceries and other essentials delivered for free and have it on their doorstep within 10 minutes, from early morning to late at night.

Ninja Delivery, an ultrafast grocery delivery start-up based in Waterloo, has officially launched in Toronto. Its couriers are now servicing all corners of downtown, from Liberty Village to Regent Park and north of Yorkville.

In the coming months, residents all over the GTA will have access to Ninja Delivery, the company said in a press release.

Here’s how it works — the Ninja app lets you select from a list of over 1,000 products, which includes everything from fresh meat and dog treats to rapid tests and phone chargers.

There’s no minimum order amount and no subscription fee. If you spend over $10, your purchases will be delivered for free. But, the key feature is the 10-minute delivery time which gives Ninja an edge over its competition.

The company says their “proprietary technology” allows them to make deliveries at lightning speed.

They rely on it to do “everything from choosing its product selection, arranging inventory in micro-fulfillment centers, packing orders, and routing the fastest path to the customer’s address.”

“We started Ninja to save people their most scarce resource: Time,” said the company’s CEO Wesley Yue. “This inspired us to build a service that feels like magic, and now we want to make it available to as many people as possible.”

If this is the way of the future, you can count us in!
