If you’re looking for a hiking adventure, embark on a journey along four interconnected loops that guide you through forests and wetlands. These trails are: Old Dog Trail, a short 800 m trek; Lakeview Trail, 300 m; Maple Canyon Trail, 2.3 km and Beaver Meadow Trail, 2 km.

After a long adventure, you’ll want to kick off those boots and relax on the shoreline of Eagle Lake. Enjoy one of its three sand beaches, the North Beach and Centre Beach are located in the Hardwoods Campground and the day-use beach is located in the day-use area.

And if you have a furry, four legged friend, here’s one more beach to enjoy and it’s specifically made for dogs. Let your pup run wild at the leash-free dog park and fenced beach. The pet exercise area is located in the day-use part of the park so it should not be hard to find.

If you want to take a dip into the lake, you can rent a board or bring your own, and paddle around the small islands on Eagle Lake.

Mikisew Provincial Park offers rentals for paddleboards, canoes, and kayaks for whatever suits your fancy.

The park is officially open for the season and since it’s already feeling like summer, we don’t blame you if you’re already planning a weekend trip.

Enjoy the lovely weather!
