You will now be required to wear a mask at large outdoor events in King County

Masks, no masks, the verdict on what to wear and where to wear it keeps changing. Now as Washington and the nation as a whole are experiencing an uptick in COVID-19 cases it looks like masks are here to stay. In fact, masks will now be required at large outdoor events regardless of vaccination status in King County.

The new mandate goes into effect on September 7th and will apply to events of 500 people or more where social distancing isn’t possible. Folks aged 5 and older will be required to wear masks at all times unless actively eating or drinking. And if you’re wondering, this new rule will be reinforced by large outdoor venues.
