You can stay in a floating wine barrel cabin minutes away from Ontario’s best vineyards

We’ve seen some crazy things on Airbnb, but this? Well, this has to be one of the coolest. Located in the wine country of Essex, Ontario, Merlot lovers and out-of-the-box adventure seekers can actually rest easy in a one-of-a-kind, aptly stationed floating wine barrel cabin. Obviously, we can’t recommend you travel anywhere in the near future, but it’s always lovely to think ahead. Let’s check it out!

Tied to the shore in gorgeous Fox Creek, this mini-lodge dwelling is only minutes from some of the area’s best vineyards and features a private dock, a massive panoramic window, and a tiki bar where you can enjoy a bottle of the good stuff under the stars.

On colder evenings cozy in and watch a movie on the flatscreen and on warmer days, shower outdoors or take a kayak out onto the water!

Despite its size and unconventional layout, this place seriously has it all. From wildlife to fluffy pillows, a BBQ, and a mini-fridge, guests will be totally set to relax, explore and drink to their heart’s content.

Depending on the time of year that you choose to check it out, rates can run from around $120 a night, but keep in mind kids and pets are not able to join you, so if you’re looking for a place to take a family vacay, this definitely isn’t it.

For more information on the floating wine barrel cabin, visit their listing here, but don’t hesitate if you’re interested. This place typically books out pretty quickly for the spring and summer months!
