You can sail like a buccaneer thanks to this local pirate cruise on Lake Union

Ahoy matey, have you ever wished that you could live the pirate life? Well, it turns out you kind of can thanks to Emerald City Pirates. This local pirate ship can take you and your family or friends on an unforgettable sail if you’re up for the adventure.

With International Talk Like a Pirate Day coming up on September 19th there’s no better time than the present to take a sail with Emerald City Pirates. The ship offers a few different sailings including a Family Treasure Cruise, an Adult Pirate Party Cruise, and a Private Brews Cruise. Of course, if you want to go really big you can also charter the whole ship.

Scheduled cruises leave Thursday-Sunday depending on the cruise and if you choose one of the adult or boozy cruises you must be 21+ to attend. Cruises last 1.5-2 hours with 15 minutes of boarding activities, and 10-15 minutes to disembark. You can purchase drinks, snacks, and pirate swag in the ship’s store as well. And you can even bring your pup with you if they’re under 25 pounds and willing to sit on your lap during the sail.
