You can have your own lake town with this gorgeous Quebec getaway

When’s the last time you needed to get away? Like, “own your lake town and 9 square kilometres of property” level of getting away? Well, we have all had quite a bit of isolation thus far in 2020, but this edition of our Canadian Home of the Week takes that to the next level. Whether you’re looking for a Bond-villain lair, a family compound, or a pretty interesting business opportunity, The Windigo is one hell of an option. Let’s take a look!

First things first, this isn’t a typical property. In fact, this is actually a set of rental properties in a sort of a ‘cottage resort’ setting. Sitting in the heart of the dramatic Laurentians, this spot is about 3.5 hours northwest of Montreal and just under 3 hours north of Ottawa. Yes, we absolutely love nature, but we think clearing a bit of the land for a 9 hole golf course wouldn’t be a half-bad idea. Then you have easy snowshoeing and cross-country skiing terrain in the winter, and everyone’s favourite leisurely sport in the summer. It’s a win-win!
