You can explore Da Vinci’s inventions brought to life at this new immersive exhibit in Seattle

The past year has been full of a global boom of immersive exhibitions as folks return to both museums and events. The common theme of these events? Old masters from Van Gogh to Monet and more. If that happens to be up your alley you’re going to want to check out the MOHAI’s newest Da Vinci-centered exhibit that quietly opened last weekend.

Da Vinci-Inventions is unlike other immersive exhibits in that you’re not going to enter a room with a bunch of projections. Rather, Grande Experiences curated the event to bring Da Vinci’s inventions to life in scale. That mean’s you can see a good chunk of the ultimate Renaissance man’s classic sketchbook drawings as real objects.

In case you didn’t know, some of Da Vinci’s most notable inventions include things like the helicopter, the airplane, the automobile, the submarine, parachute, and bicycle. Obviously, Da Vinci laid the groundwork for these things rather than create the actual technology but being able to see the earliest version of these objects is going to be pretty dang cool.

Beyond inventions, you’ll be able to check out some of Leonardo’s most famous codices, anatomical studies, and the Battle of Anghiari drawings. To really get into the details there’s an animated presentation of the Vitruvian Man and the Sforza horse sculpture.

Best of all you have until January to check it out. The exhibition is great for folks of all ages and sure to spark some curiosity. So get out there and learn a thing or two, you won’t regret it. You can learn more and grab tickets by clicking below.
