Toronto is among the world’s most exciting places to visit in 2024

If 2023 wasn’t your year to travel, 2024 will be. With so many places to visit across the world, the possibilities are endless. But if you’re looking for the world’s most exciting places to explore, you won’t need to travel far according to this new list. Toronto has been named among 25 of the best places to travel next year and here’s what to know.

Afar magazine’s “Where to go in 2024”, reveals its 25 destination picks for where to go next year. According to the travel mag, each city “is an awe-inspiring, joy-inducing destination where human connection and creativity define the travel experience.”

The list, which numbers cities in no particular order, “offer ample opportunities for conscientious, sustainable exploration,” according to the magazine.

That being said, the list includes cities such as Tangier, Morocco; Rome, Italy; Machu Picchu, Peru and Toronto, Canada.

And that comes as no surprise to us.

“By most measures, Toronto is more diverse than any city in the world, including New York City and London. More than half of its population of 3 million was born outside of Canada and upwards of 180 languages are spoken here,” shares the magazine.

“The city’s multicultural identity has been further solidified with the 2023 mayoral election of Olivia Chow, the first woman of color to hold the post.”

Of course, our diversity is what makes Toronto such a wonderful city.

You don’t need to leave Toronto to experience different cultures and cuisines – the city is a one-stop shop for all.

So maybe in 2024 you don’t need to hop on a plane to explore new worlds.

You can just take the TTC and explore different parts of Toronto you have yet to discover.
