Discovering that insane Whistler chalet for rent earlier this week got us thinking. Because while we personally think it’s the cream of the crop, is it truly the most luxurious ski resort in North America? According to one list, that answer is yes.
The Oxford Ski Company, which operates luxury rentals at ski resorts around the world, recently put out a list of their global top picks. And, coming in at number 7, there’s Whistler Blackcomb. Not only was it the only Canadian resort on the list, but it was also two ahead of the only American resort- Aspen in Colorado.

According to Oxford, the roundup was based on gross revenue at every single resort they have available on their site. Then, they picked the most luxurious rentals they have available at each one, just to show off the true insanity of the options.
And not only did Whistler beat out Aspen, but there’s really no comparison between the top properties available. Why? Because the top option at Whistler has one of the only private helipads (for heli-skiing) on the continent, and it costs a cool $160,000/week to rent it out.
Yeah, we think we’ve found next week’s rental pick. And hey, maybe it’s time to sneak in a day trip to the most luxurious ski resort in North America. It does sound nice.
