5 of the best spots to watch the Seattle 4th of July fireworks

The 4th of July will be here before you know it and that means it’s time to figure out where you’ll be watching the fireworks. No two viewing locations are the same so it doesn’t hurt to switch things up from year to year. With that in mind, 5 of the best spots to watch the Seattle 4th of July fireworks.

Queen Anne

If you’re not keen on going to Capitol Hill you can always head over to the opposite hill, Queen Anne. There you can head to spots like the Queen Anne Greenbelt, 5th and Lynn Park, and more. Further down the hill, you can also try your luck at the Westlake Greenbelt.

Hit the water

What’s a better way to view the fireworks than on the water? Many choose to enjoy a float in Lake Union as their viewing venue for the show. So find that friend with a boat or consider renting your own for the big day. Or check out a local fireworks cruise like the ones offered by Argosy Cruises.

Lakeview Blvd E

Along the slope of Capitol Hill, you’ll find Lakeview Blvd E. This winding stretch of road has several places where you can find glimpses of Lake Union. Walk up and down the road or find one spot to view the show, the choice is yours.

Wallingford Ave N

Want to be in north Seattle but avoid Gas Works Park? Consider Wallingford Ave N. The street runs towards Lake Union and provides some decent views the closer you are to the lake. That being said you can also try any of the neighboring streets. Just be prepared for crowds.

N Northlake Way

The closest you can get to Gas Works without actually being in the park is N Northlake Way. The stretch of road runs along the lake giving you plenty of spots to view the show in all its glory. Just keep in mind that the closer you get to the park, the busier it’s likely to be.

Happy 4th of July, Seattle!
