As if you needed another reason to miss going to the airport – YYC has announced that the highly anticipated WestJet Elevation Lounge will open to the public on November 2nd. Good timing, considering that’s when the Calgary Airport will introduce rapid testing options for international travellers.
With 9,300 square feet of space and panoramic views, this fancy new common area will give international travellers a luxurious place to “relax, refresh or focus” and take even a shower! (Seriously, guys, you can actually reserve a private shower facility.)

Serving locally brewed beer, chef-inspired dishes made with seasonal ingredients, and selling a variety of the best Alberta-made products, this contemporary lounge is kind of the ultimate place for people who have never experienced all that prairies have to offer, to do exactly that!
Because of this, we’re actually honoured that they chose for their pilot lounge – but it only makes sense! Not only is WestJet a YYC company, but it’s also the largest airline to run in and out of the city.
Anywho, we can’t wait to hit the lounge for ourselves – heck, you could say that it might just take our next trip to new heights. Ha.
