A magical water lantern festival is coming to Calgary

There’s no shortage of things to do and see around Calgary every July, but the Water Lantern Festival is among the most enchanting.

Described as an event with “therapeutic power,” the city’s late-night experience will return this month and you’re going to want to check it out.

Meant to celebrate the past, present, future, love, connection, and healing, the beautiful Festival will be held at Waterfront Park and feature food trucks, live music, and hundreds of glowing lanterns.

The best part? Each lantern will have been customized by the guests and then released – a sight that you won’t soon forget.

Write a wish, a hope, a dream, or something that you’re thankful for and let it go, it’s going to be picture-perfect!

If you’d like to attend tickets are on sale now and include the lantern kit, a candle, entry, a marker, cards and lantern cleanup – but hurry!

Once tickets are gone, they’re gone and you don’t want to miss out.

It’s going to be magical.
