The Washington Midsummer Renaissance Faire returns next month in a new location

The Washington Midsummer Renaissance Faire is officially back this August with some big changes this year. Get ready to pull out your best costumes and enter the Village of Merriwick. Here’s what’s new at this year’s faire and what to expect.

The Washington Midsummer Renaissance Faire has moved from its previous location at Kelley Farm to the Sky Meadows Park in Snohomish, WA. The new site is just a little over an hour north of Kelley Farm and offers plenty of camping and parking options.

Also new this year is that tickets can only be purchased online, there will be no tickets at the gate.

Like years past, there will be three themed weekends. The first weekend is “Cogs & Corsets on the High Seas” which is a mix of Steampunk and Pirates. The second weekend is “An Enchanted World of Mythical Beasts & Beings” and is dedicated to fantasy creatures and beings of all varieties. The third and final weekend is “Invaders From the North: Vikings & Valkyries.”

Beyond the chance to dress up and get in character you’ll also be able to enjoy eats, drinks, dancing, shopping, plenty of live jousting, and fencing. There are also games, magicians, puppet shows and so much more.

Each weekend has general admission and after-hours tickets available. Prices for general admission are $29.95 and give you access to everything happening on the faire grounds. After hours tickets are $21.95 and 21+ on Fridays, on Saturdays after-hours are open to all ages. These tickets give you the chance to continue your experience into the late evening and see exciting demonstrations like fire breathing.

Keep in mind that camping is sold out for this year.

With that, enjoy the Washington Midsummer Renaissance Faire!
