Liven up your weekends this fall with bright and colourful festivities. It’s the Cranberry Harvest, baby. The time of year where folks come from all over to indulge in the gorgeous fruits of, well, someone else’s labour. Starting this month, you can head up to Johnston’s Cranberry Marsh and get your harvest on with tons of incredible fall activities.
They’ve got a sprawling 27 acres of land to explore, that produces a whopping 300,000-400,000 pounds of cranberries each year. That’s a lot of cranberries, you guys! When you stop by for a visit, you’ll be able to take part in all they’ve got to offer. Hike one of the beautiful trails, hunt for geocaches, or even do a wine tasting! The possibilities are endless.

But the real draw of this place has got to be their famous cranberry plunges. You can wade into a sea of floating cranberries and feel like a real cranberry farmer. It’s a fall activity that’s fun for folks of all ages. Plus, you’ll definitely be able to get a sick Insta photo out of it.
So pick a weekend and mosey up to Johnston’s Cranberry Marsh. If you go the right after Thanksgiving, you’ll get the added bonus of participating in the annual Bala Cranberry Festival. But any other weekend will be just as fun!
