Niagara Falls has a new holiday boat tour that takes you right up to the lights

This might just be the most majestic holiday lights experience out there. Niagara Falls has a new Voyage to the Falls boat tour this month only, just in time for the Winter Festival of Lights.

Beginning on November 12th, this special boat tour lets you “sail after dusk to see the dazzling lights and Illumination on Niagara Falls,” according to the description.

The nightly illumination of the Falls is a breathtaking sight to see during the Winter Festival of Lights, and you’ll get a front-row view.

As you may expect, this is a light mist experience, so dress warm! You’ll also be given a complimentary recyclable mist poncho to keep you dry.

This 20-minute sail also comes with audio commentary, which you can listen to on-board or through the City Experiences app.

The special sail only runs until late November, so you don’t have very long to experience it.

However, the Winter Festival of Lights runs until February 20th. This year is the event’s 40th anniversary and there are some very special celebrations planned.

Known as Canada’s largest free outdoor light festival, this event has millions of twinkling lights and 50 “larger-than-life” displays.

New to the festival this year are themed illumination areas like the Royal Promenade, Frosted Falls, Enchanted Forest, and Great Canadian North.

In honour of its 40th year, you can enjoy 40 nights of free indoor family entertainment from magicians to jugglers and more.

And as the final cherry on top, there will be 40 nights of dazzling holiday fireworks to get you into the joyous spirit.

If you can’t miss this one-of-a-kind boat tour to the Falls, you can book your tickets right here.
