Some of Canada’s finest contemporary works to be featured at this Toronto arts fundraiser

Looking for new art? And want to support a good cause? There’s an upcoming fundraiser in the city that does both! VIBE Arts, which is a charity dedicated to providing arts education and artistic mentorship to equity-seeking groups, is back with its tenth annual Arts Effect fundraiser to the city this June.

For 10 years, Arts Effect has held art auctions featuring some of Canada’s finest contemporary works. And on June 6th, you can take part in the experience.

All funds raised through Arts Effect, from tickets and the sale of art, will go on to support VIBE Arts- “an award-winning charitable organization committed to providing youth in under-resourced communities with high-quality community and school-based arts education.”

In past years, the VIBE Arts programming supported over 5,535 participants with 851 workshops in under-resourced communities and 106 mentorship training sessions. It also provided paid work for 94 artists and worked with 72 community partners.

“We know that not everyone has access to the arts; this is felt especially by people who live outside of the urban core,” states their website.

“Members of equity-seeking groups including newcomer Canadians, racialized young people, Indigenous youth, the LGBTQ+ community and individuals living in poverty face complex barriers. VIBE works directly within these communities to involve thousands of people each year in free arts experiences.”

Tickets for the June 6th fundraising evening are available now.
