Via Rail is having a summer sale & trips from Toronto to Montreal are up to 40% off

All aboard! The weather is getting warmer which means it’s the perfect time to explore a new city or visit friends and family. Via Rail is having a summer sale with trips from Toronto to Montreal for up to 40% off, making it easy to travel on a budget this summer.

Here’s what you need to know in order to get the deal.

According to Via Rail, travellers can “save 40% on the Economy fare in Economy class in the Québec City–Windsor corridor for travel on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between May 15 and September 30, 2024.”

In order to get the discount, you’ll need to select the dates you’re planning your trip for and under discount type in VIA2024.

From there, you’ll see trips from Toronto to Montreal for the reduced prices but of course, travellers can select any trips in the Québec City–Windsor corridor!

One-way tickets from Toronto to Montreal start at $50 with various times available throughout the day.

Via Rail also recently added enhanced services between Ottawa and Toronto that travellers can enjoy.

The new 641 early-morning frequency will operate between Ottawa and Toronto from Monday to Thursday, leaving Ottawa at 4:19 AM for arrival in Toronto at 8:48 AM with stops in KingstonBellevilleCobourg and Port Hope.
