Vancouver farmers’ markets allowed to bring back artisans just in time for spring

We’ve got some great news to share with you! Over the weekend, the BC provincial government decided to allow artisans to sell at farmers markets across the province once more. That means you’ll be able to pick up soaps, flowers… the whole kit and kaboodle while you’re there.

Although deemed an essential service, a public health order update in February banned all non-food vendors from selling at the markets. Soon, markets across the province, including the Vancouver Farmers’ Markets, had started petitions to get them back.

Well, on Friday they were acknowledged, as Dr. Bonnie Henry updated the health order once more. Now, you’ll be able to find fresh followers, handmade soaps, and all the other good stuff one is pleasantly surprised by while they’re picking up lettuce or something. At least, that’s usually our experience.
