Vancouver’s largest outdoor Christmas market will have new holiday light displays this year

It’s hard to believe that it’s already almost November, but that means we’re that much closer to the holidays. And what better way to kick it all off than at the largest outdoor Christmas market in the city?! Yes, we’re talking about the 2024 Vancouver Christmas Market.

Every year, the German-inspired Vancouver Christmas Market transforms Jack Poole Plaza into a magical wonderland filled with twinkling lights, festive treats, and family fun, and this year is no exception.

The longest-running holiday market in the city, the Vancouver Christmas Market is full of holiday magic for all ages. Whether it’s authentic German bratwurst and brews you’re after, sips of mulled wine as you peruse this year’s vendors, or a sweet treat under the tree or on the carousel, you’ll find it all here.

New this year

New this year is a walkthrough Christmas tree, adorned with twinkling lights, ornaments, and Christmas treasures. So rest assured you’ll be guaranteed a magical picture here.

There will also be a new iteration of the market’s illuminated “Lover’s Lane,” an extended path with twinkling lights and animations, including whimsical flying hearts, according to the market.

Visitors can even share a kiss under the mistletoe!
