New Westminster’s biggest street music festival has three stages & it’s FREE to attend

With a full summer of free street festivals and concerts on its way, it’s easy to forget that some of Metro Vancouver’s largest outdoor events are based outside of the City of Vancouver. This includes the 2024 Uptown Live Street Party, AKA New West’s largest street music festival!

With performances taking place across three stages, the massive street party is completely free to enjoy, so rally your friends together and get ready to see headliners like The Funk Hunters, Side One, Sabacouver, and Andrew Allen this July.

“We have multiple stages throughout the festival grounds with live music all evening long,” says Bart Slotman, President of the Board for the Uptown Business Association (UBA), which will host Uptown Live. “The live entertainment is what makes us the biggest street festival in New Westminster!”

In addition to live music all day long, visitors can expect to see dance performances, interactive exhibits, local artisan vendors, and a wide range of mouthwatering food truck eats.

This includes an exciting performance by Battlezone Vancouver!

Note that the festival will take place in the walkable, transit-accessible neighbourhood of Uptown New West from 4 pm to 9:30 pm on July 27th.

The festivities will take over the intersection of 6th Street and 6th Avenue.
