Let’s face it, when it comes to scenic swimming spots and suspension bridges – North Vancouver pretty much takes the cake. Luckily for Vancouverites, the gorgeous Twin Falls at Lynn Canyon is very accessible and a great spot to cool off during the hottest months of the year. As long as you follow the safety procedures and stay on the right side of the fencing, you’re golden.
In terms of the hike, Twin Falls is short and sweet (rated “easy” on Vancouver Trails) – with just enough of an incline to feel like you’re getting a workout in. That being said, you’ll definitely want to bring snacks and water if you plan on hanging out for a couple of hours.

To access Twin Falls, you can cross the free suspension bridge and admire Lynn Creek from 50 metres above. After crossing over, go right at the next two junctions, following the Baden Powell Trail. Folks can enjoy the lush rainforest greenery as you make your way through a series of stairs and switchbacks. You’ll soon reach a final set of wooden steps, where you can see Twin Falls from above.
On your journey back, you can stop by the Lynn Canyon Ecology Centre or hit up the concession area. The trails are dog-friendly as well, so your four-legged family members can get in on the summer fun too!
To get to Lynn Canyon from downtown, you can drive or take the seabus to North Van + the 228 (Lynn Valley) bus for approximately 25 minutes.
