You don’t have to travel to Forks to get your next Twilight fix. A local spot right here in Vancouver is transporting guests to the moody, infamous cinematic universe of the cult favourite. So if you were planning to binge-watch the films over the weekend, you may want to hold off, as this is your chance to catch them on the big screen!
And best of all, admission is completely free. So a round of drinks and disco fries might just have your name on it.
Every Monday this November, Kitsilano restaurant and live music venue, The Painted Ship, is screening a movie from the popular saga, beginning with the film that started it all. Get ready to embrace the return of truly cringe-worthy one-liners like “hold on tight, spider monkey” and “so the lion fell in love with the lamb.” Even if they don’t make you giddy with nostalgia, it’ll be an entertaining watch in a pub-like setting!
The watch party kicks off with a screening of Twilight on Monday, Nov. 3, 2025, with New Moon and Eclipse following on each consecutive Monday. The last Monday of November will be reserved for a double feature finale: Breaking Dawn Part 1 and Part 2.
Want to explore a filming location without crossing the border? Washington isn’t the only site of the iconic saga. You might be surprised to learn that B.C. was featured a handful of times, including Cascade Falls just east of Mission, which is featured in the final film, Breaking Dawn Part 2.
So whether you’re team Edward or Jacob, Charlie or Carlisle, or are rooting for Bella despite the odds, spooky season isn’t complete without a Twilight binge.
Happy hoa hoa hoa hoa season.
